Sexual Trauma, Feminine Leadership & Matrilineal Villages with Lovisa Lakshmi | Ep 42
Imagine your mother had an orgasm when you came into this world. Sit with that for a second. Why is it okay for your birth to have been the most painful, worst experience of her life, but not okay for it to have been ecstatic, orgasmic, full of pleasure? Why do we normalize the pain and not the pleasure?
In this episode of Born to Feel Free, I'm with my sister Lovisa Lakshmi (Lovisa Dahl), again, third or fourth time, doesn't matter, we always have so much to say. Sex, freedom, pleasure, money, children, sisterhood, men, nature.
We go into what I call the global intimacy disorder: the mental illness, the burnout, the breast cancer, the cervical cancer, the infertility, rising by the day, because we are disconnected from our bodies, our sex, our power, our nature. We are, as a society, raped, not always physically, but mentally, spiritually, through lies, through systems of domination we never consented to. Not so long ago they burned women for gathering in circles, because when women gather, we are invincible. That's the witch wound. It's still in us.
Lovisa shares her three births, raw and unfiltered: the fear of going against everyone around her, the home birth, the ecstatic birth, the fully orgasmic birth, and how it rewired her body, rewired years of tension out of her feet, out of her nervous system, just from being finally supported and safe and in her power.
And then we go into money. The sometimes hidden desire for wanting more money. The shadow of the women's coaching industry & millionaire babes. How we still feed the patriarchal system. We talk about what it actually looks like to let wealth move through healed hands instead, into natural birthing clinics, into matrilineal villages, into the soil, into the world we actually want.
