Class Sneak Peak

a warm welcome to join Sharada & Sylwia and relax into the Sanskrit Language

Sanskrit is the ancient language that was and still is the means for expressing the teachings of the Vedas. The word Sanskrit is an Anglicized version of the word Saṁskṛtam (when written in IAST). The word Saṁskṛtam means ‘highly refined’, and indeed, Sanskrit is a beautifully refined language. Unlike most languages which were developed primarily for commerce.

Sanskrit was specifically designed to express subtle philosophical and metaphysical truths,
and it indeed excels in expressing such truths.

Sanskrit may be written using any system that has the capacity to express its numerous phonemes. Sanskrit was originally an oral tradition with no accompanying script. An ancient script called Brāhmī was adapted to express Sanskrit in a written form.  Brāhmī evolved into a form which we now commonly associate with Sanskrit called Devanāgarī

The reasons to study Sanskrit, as a student of Vedānta, are numerous. The sacred texts for all things Vedāntic are the Vedas, which are expressed using the Sanskrit language. Within the Vedas live the Upaniṣads; the core Vedāntic scriptures. Sanskrit is also the language for almost all supporting, non-Vedic texts, including the highly revered Bhagavad Gītā.

Even a rudimentary knowledge of Sanskrit will give the aspiring student a greater insight into the knowledge ‘hidden’ within these works.

Śrī Svāmī Vāgīśānanda Sarasvatī

Proper Pronunciation

It used to be a purely oral language. Only after many years were the teaching, practices and mantras written down on palm leaves.

Origin

The Vedas, the Upanishads, the ancient texts and beautiful shlokas (hymns), chants, mantras and yoga are all revealed in Sanskrit Language.

Benefits

Today we have a vast literature available to us where we can revel in the priceless teaching and the heart-opening, healing mantras provided by the Vedas.

oṁ sarasvati namastubhyaṁ
varade kāma rūpiṇi vidyārambhaṁ kariṣyāmi
siddhirbhavatu me sadā

Oh, Goddess Sarasvatī, our salutations to you.
You who fulfills all my desires,
I am to begin my sacred studies.
May my pursuit of Self-knowledge end in ‘success’.

Who is sharing knowledge in this module?

Sharada is a devoted and committed student and teacher of Vedanta (non-dual teachings) and the Vedic Tradition, Master of Ceremonies & Vedic Chanting as well as the Founder of Be Woman Project. At this present moment, she is undergoing one of the most in depths sex, love & relationship coaching programs.

From an early age, Sharada was on the quest for Moksha, absolute freedom, which led her to India & Bali, seeking guidance & answers to the fundamental questions of life.

More than a decade ago, she found her revered teachers in the lineage of Swami Dayananda Saraswati and has since then been living in Bali & India studying the ancient teachings of the Vedas directly with her teachers. In her lineage, the study of the inner child, Jungian Psychology & devotional practices such as rituals is incorporated which also shines through in all her magical offerings.

Her background in Odissi Dance, a temple dance, Ayurveda, Tantra, the deep dive into ancient rituals, and the secrets of Devi 'the goddess' played a profound role in her own discovery of the sacred feminine; which was also the inspiration to start holding circles for women.

In recent years, she has immersed herself deeply into natural fertility awareness, body literacy, sacred womb wisdom, womb yoga, holistic sex education as well as trauma release through breath work & women’s psychology.

She is the creatrix of Be Woman Project that today offers international women's circle facilitator courses that are based in the Vedic Tradition, incorporating a holistic and tantric approach to reclaiming one's own self-worth, a sense of belonging & returning to healthy integrated wellness that deeply honours all beings as sacred.

Sylwia has been my student since 2018. She is a deeply creative, committed, devoted and sincere student. She has embraced the Vedic Teachings & Spiritual Disciplines that include Puja, Guided Meditation, Vedic Chanting & Yoga with enthusiasm and trust & has included them into her daily life.

With her impressive background in a multitude of different languages, she has now also begun her Sanskrit Studies to help her in the assimilation of the teachings. In a short time, she learnt the Alphabet in Devanāgarī (name of the script).

Her desire to grow & gain knowledge brought her to come and live in Bali in order to be fully immersed in the Vedic lifestyle.

It is there where she became my apprentice & assistant. With her help, we initiated the program Pearls of Wisdom that includes a weekly newsletter, free resources & content, weekly live online classes and a new online platform with different recorded courses.

She decided to join & accompany me on my annual visit to Europe where I teach in different festivals, hold retreats & training. She has been by my side supporting me wholeheartedly all the way through and continuing her studies with me till today.

Sylwia joined the Be Woman Project in 2020 beginning with the Durga Training where she participated in the major rites of passage of a human being. Shortly after that, she joined the team of the Be Woman Project, a sacred movement, that has at its heart to reestablish the value of being a woman, of having a sisterhood & of being a mother in and of the universe.

During the last years that I have mentored her, I have seen her integrity with staying true to her values. I have asked her to teach the script of Sanskrit, Devanagari in the Pearls of Wisdom Series. I am happy to announce that she agreed and I know that she will offer you a creative fresh inspiring and joyful moment to dive into an ancient language that is dearest to my heart.

With deep gratitude and love,

sincerely Sharada Devi

Testimonials

I found Sharada almost one year ago in the Embodied Woman Festival and since the moment that I heard her words I knew that I wanted to be her student. Therefore, I started going to the Pearls of Wisdom Classes and my life has been changing since there. Sharada has this way of bringing the Teachings of Vedanta to our earthly life, we feel part of the teachings and it’s a lot easier to understand and integrate into our lives.

I need to confess that my favorite classes are always the Mantra dedicated ones because I love to sing and for me the Sanskrit language and her melody as a direct connection to the mystery that is embracing us at every moment.

If you want to find a way to explore the cosmos that is inside you I totally recommend you to go to the Pearls of Wisdom. Sending love, Cindy. Om

I virtually came across Sharada and the Pearls of Wisdom classes during the first lockdown in 2020. I firmly believe that when One is ready, the Teacher appears. I had been "self-teaching" Sanskrit and Mantras for a few years, doing my own research with books and audios, but I was longing for guidance. For a voice to hear, for someone to whom I could ask questions.

Finding the Pearls of Wisdom group lit up my sparkle and enthusiasm again. The classes are fascinating, both accessible and extremely deep.

Sharada's teachings in Vedanta Philosophy and Mantra practice, her pedagogy, precision, support, generosity and full attention to all students is amazing and precious.

Sylwia introduces the Sanskrit alphabet with great enthusiasm, sincerity and joy. I find learning to write and read Sanskrit a meditation in itself, demanding focus, full presence, discipline, humility, open heart and mind.

I find the Mantra practice a beautiful tool in everyday life, to support emotional stability and to help in constant self-discovery. The various symbols, deities, concepts that are invoked in the Mantras are all aspects of Myself and of Life. Chanting is both an intimate and universal prayerful attitude.

I am grateful for these teachings, for the fantastic online platform with abundant content, for the consistent program, the weekly meetings that encourage me to work deeply, regularly and well-supported on the Path of Self-Inquiry.
